About Manchester, NH
As the largest city in New Hampshire, and tenth largest metropolis in New England, Manchester is a major economic, educational and cultural hub for Granite State residents. As of 2015, Manchester was home to more than 111,000 people.
Given its easily-accessible location in the southern region of the state, Manchester is an area that we frequently serve with our ground transportation services.
Manchester lies about one hour north of Boston, and can be accessed via several larger roadways, including I-93, I-293, NH 101 and U.S. Route 3. Manchester is also home to the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport, which is the third-largest cargo airport in New England.
Since its incorporation in 1751, when it eventually served as a mill city, Manchester has grown in not only size, but diversity. In recent years, Manchester has been voted one of the small cities to live in and also start a business. The city is home to several higher-learning institutions, including Southern New Hampshire University, UNH-Manchester, Saint Anselm College and the New Hampshire Institute of Art. Manchester is also home to several minor league sports teams, including the New Hampshire Fisher Cats and Manchester Monarchs.
